Where could I find whatever is doing this to murder it? And failing that, what's a simple and reliable player/codec pack to switch to? For the record, what CCCP installed/activated is LAV Splitter and VS Filter. I tried looking through MPC-HC's and the codec's settings but I couldn't find anything.

We post alternatives for other people who ALSO might come to get ideas for other codecs than the one we have been using. Just need to change the default setting to 5.1 audio channels at the end. Here are a couple examples in the following link, the first image being what MPC-HC usually shows me and the second what I get after turning subs on/off. CCCP - Combined Community Codec Pack It is getting a little long in the tooth but it is my goto player. Just uninstall your k-lite codec pack and what other codec pack you have installed and try out CCCP CCCP + AC3Filter + Quick. Also its configuration setting available is very useful and hassle free. CCCP got great MKV, OGG, H264, XVID, DVIX ect support. When I press S to turn subtitles on/off I get a glimpse of what it probably should look like without the filter and although they're still a bit off it isn't so annoyingly obvious. The only real thing CCCP doesnt have is Quick time and i dont care about Quick time. It specially murders yellow and pastel colors and dark scenes are a nightmare as general brightness and the "aura" around foreground objects keep changing. Something I shortly noticing is that some annoying color correction setting was activated and it was making colors duller and with higher contrast.
#CCCP PLAYER GRAPHICS CARD CHANGE INSTALL#
Recently I bought a new PC (windows 10, intel core i5-8400, no graphic card yet if it matters) and proceeded to install the good old CCCP despite the last update being from three years ago.
